Morocco to stage 2025 AFCON as CAF opts for 2027 East Africa option

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Morocco will stage the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament while a joint bid from the East African countries of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda was chosen to host the continent's showpiece biennial event in 2027.
